1. Make funny faces just to make you laugh.
actually i'm the one who's fond of making wacky expressions to make him laugh, but whenever i see his adorable face making the cutest, hyper, wacky, weird expression it makes me laugh so hard.
what can i say, he's just so adorable ;)
2. Hide love notes in your bag after a date.
Hmmmm.. he never hid one in my bag after a date but he did scattered some sticky notes on the table, sofa, and floor and he asked me if i have read his post-it's all over the place. :) he's such a sweet guy and that's one thing that i'm so proud of and i'm really lucky to have him as my other half.
3. Treats your little sister or brother like his own.
Actually he's not close with my younger brother, because my brother rarely talks to other people unless it's about wrestling and games. But i have a little cousin named mikha, he's got a lot of patience when it come to that little kiddo, and they enjoy playing games, having weird conversations, he's so ideal, since i'd love to have my kids someday,I know he'll be a very good father.
4. While watching a movie, adjusts himself so you can lean on his shoulder comfortably.
He's my movie buddy:), we love watching films, and yes he always adjusts himself so that i could comfortably lean on his sexy arms, his arms is the safest place i know, i love his hugs and whenever he carries me like a baby, so sweet, i super love his sexy arms. :)
5. Holds your hand in public and in front of his friends.
He loves to hold my hand and he's such a gentleman, He kisses my hand(s) and even if his friends are around he holds my hand so tight, i get the NO LETTING GO feeling every time he squeezes my hand tightly :)
6. Quotes your favorite movie lines when you're down.

He made me watch this film from start to finish :) i have watched click once but it was just 2/4 of the film, thank God, i met my man and he introduced me to this film and he made me a better person. ILOVEMYMAN :)
7. Always let you have the last piece of cake.
Now that's a tough one hahahaha :), we both love food so that last piece of cake would be for US. not just ME, not just for HIM but it's for US. and we love sharing food. And it's so sweet to share right? and feed your other half, just like what we see in chick flicks. :P
8. Plan a star-gazing picnic during your monthsary.
We'd love to do this one. But we're too busy and my Mom wouldn't let me, i have a strict time curfew. :| but i know someday we can do this, we will gaze at the stars together, feel the moist grass, appreciate the beauty of the stars and the moon. I hope it would happen soon. :)
9. Kisses your forehead. two cheeks then lips.
Now this is fun :), we love to Kiss :), he kisses my forehead, my left and right eye, left and right cheek, my nose, my chin, and lastly my LIPS. :)
10. Reminds you everyday why he fell in love with you.
Even though he's not telling me everyday why he fell for me, one thing is for sure, He LOVED me just the WAY i am despite everything i have gone through, when i met him i threw the PAST away because i know he's my future and he's here to stay, no more questions asked indeed he's my other half, my better half. I LOVE YOU LOU!

Their love story makes me cry, they're both wonderful people and gramma stayed with grampa til the end, one thing that i regret and will regret 'til my last days here on earth is... i never listened to gramma, she begged us not to go home, she wanted us to stay knowing that any moment grampa's battle with cancer would take him away from us.
Sorry i can't continue blogging everything behind grampa's battle. I'm too weak and i shed tears in an instant when grampa's is the topic.

Ying-Ying's Story is just like any ordinary girl's story, She was lost and found.
She was Four years old back then, when her family gathered for the Moon Festival Ceremony, where the people have the opportunity to see the Moon Lady and secretly ask for a wish to be granted.
Since it was her first time to attend the ceremony, Amah gave her the instructions on how she would ask for her secret wish to come true. however, Amah warned her that she should behave and not speak of her secret wish or it will be considered a selfish desire and the Moon Lady would not grant it.

The Story of Lindo Jong - The Red Candle
Lindo Jong's Story was my favorite. How her life was sacrificed to keep her parents promise. Her parents promised her to marry Tyan-Hu at the age of two. Her own family treated her as if she belonged to another family.
Her World turned upside down at the age of twelve, Heavy rains came and destroyed every single wheat her family planted, and made their land useless for years to come, and their house became unlivable, furnitures all over the place, covered with mud. Everything was a mess.
Lindo was 12, old enough to separate from her family and live with the Huangs, she realized that the Huangs had a better disposition than her family. She was trained to be a good wife, She was taught how to wash rice properly,how to clean a chamber pot, she learned to cook well, and stitch perfectly.
Lindo turned 16 on the lunar new year, Huang Taitai told her that she's ready to welcome a grandson by spring. Of course she didn't want to marry, but she was left with no other option, where would she live? how would she feed her empty stomach? who would clothe her? even if she's a strong horse, there's no way she can run away. . .

The Story of An-Mei:Scar
An-Mei's Story is quite tragic, Having a mother that is another man's concubine is not the life any ordinary girl would want to have, her grandparents took care of her, and she was instructed to never speak of her mother again.
By the time her Mother, went back to their house she was still puzzled of all the things Popo (her grandmother) had told her and that she learned to love her mother more. not because she begged for her forgiveness.
Here is how she came to love her Mother. . .

*I have finished reading the 1st chapter of the book Feathers From a Thousand Li Away:
Jing-Mei Woo - The Joy Luck Club
Jing-Mei "JUNE" , is the daughter of Suyuan Woo, Her mother died and she was pressured to fill her mother's shoes, in her story she's reminiscent about her past, how she lacked confidence and remembered what her mother told her that she was a late bloomer like Einstein.
Jing-Mei grew up being compared to Waverly, Lindo Jong's daughter, Their mothers would show off and tell something good about their daughters, Suyuan felt that Jing-Mei could do anything that she wanted to. She gave Jing-Mei intelligence tests and piano lessons. Her mother wanted her to excel and be proud of her. maybe there's something about her that would make her Mother proud.
The Last Paragraph of her part in the chapter ended like this...
And I am sitting at my mother's place at the mah jong table, on the east where things begin.

School of THOUGHT :)
I'm re-reading The Joy Luck Club again, and i'm still fascinated with the stories of all these women :)
And as i was reading Jing-Mei Woo's Story (The Joy Luck Club)this line from page20 grabbed my attention.
"There's a School of Thought"...
"that parents shouldn't criticize children. They should encourage instead. You know, people rise to other people's expectations. And when you criticize it just means you're expecting failure."...
I agree that when you criticize, you're expecting failure because you have this thoughts, doubts that the person you're expecting from is not capable of doing such things.
You have to put all your trust and encourage that person, believe in their capabilities. Help them become better. They need you to pull all of this together.
